China-Saudi PPH Pilot Program to Be Launched on November 1, 2020

According to the Cooperation Agreement between China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) on Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH), the China-Saudi PPH pilot program will be launched with a duration of three years from November 1, 2020 to October 31, 2023.

After the start of the pilot, SAIP applicants can submit a PPH request to CNIPA in accordance with the Procedures to File a Request to China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) under the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) Pilot Program between CNIPA and Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP); and CNIPA applicants can submit a PPH request to SAIP in accordance with the Procedures to File a Request to Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) under the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) Pilot Program between China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA)and SAIP.
