Notice Regarding the Implementation of the 13th Edition 2026 Text of the Nice Classification

As required by the World Intellectual Property Organization, all member states of the Nice Union will officially use the 13th edition 2026 text of the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Trademarks (i.e., the Nice Classification) from January 1, 2026. Trademark applications filed on or after January 1, 2026, will be subject to the new version of the Nice Classification when classifying goods and services; trademark applications filed before this date will be subject to the original version of the Nice Classification.

Based on the Nice Classification, our bureau has made corresponding adjustments to the Classification of Similar Goods and Services. The revised contents of the Nice Classification and the Classification of Similar Goods and Services are hereby published together.
